The Macquarie Hotel (formerly the Legend Hotel) is a two storey commercial building of painted brickwork (originally face brickwork) with asymmetrical form and "streamlined" detailing. Architectural features include a curved corner typical of the "Inter-War Functionalist" or "International" style. The parapeted front façade, now rendered and painted, features a squat tower element at the southern end.
